Our Beef is produced from our traditional Hereford cattle, grazed on herb-rich native grasses on the Lambourn Downs. Herefords were originally bred to utilise the natural environment. In the 1950's the emphasis moved to high input and output farming. This change involved the extensive use of cereal-based diets to produce beef intensively. Our Herefords are from the original blood lines and they mature at their own pace on pasture alone. They produce a healthy, tasty, delicious marbled meat. The beef is hung for 28 days, vac packed and delivered to Farncombe Farm. We also have a small flock of welsh Badger faced sheep who have lambs in the spring, that feed on milk and grass. This is the reason we only have lamb to sell in the Autumn.
